Water

Baths, showers and wraps.
Cool, fresh water plays a key role in promoting and maintaining good health.

Water and Kneipp simply belong together: It‘s little wonder that, of all of his many remedies, water was the most important to him.Sebastian Kneipp created no less than 120 water treatments, ranging from baths and showers to wraps and washes. Each one of them has its own unique effect on the body and health: Some help with sleep disturbances, while others boost our energy, tone the skin, or ease pain. Here, we will familiarise you with the principal treatments - and you can go on to try them out for yourself in cold water (which Father Kneipp reported to have a far better effect than warm water). Don‘t have a towel with you? Better still! Air-drying is a central theme in Kneipp‘s teachings – it provides an even, rapid, natural heat. So: Let‘s jump in!

A COUPLE OF TIPS

  • If you‘re here with children, always keep an eye on them around water.
  • Your dog is, of course, very welcome here. However, to ensure that the water stays clean and pure, please do not let your four-legged friend in it.
  • Even if you‘re feeling free and liberated by the water treatments, please take care - especially if it‘s slippery underfoot. If the worst comes to the worst, we cannot accept liability.
