High above the Talfers gorge at 1,085 metres asl, the village of Wangen lies somewhat far away from the rest of the world amidst meadows and forests. The farms of the village stretch far down the western slope of the mountain towards the Sarntal valley, where the castle ruins of the once powerful Lords of Wangen can be found. Today Wangen offers quiet village life for rest-and-relaxation seekers and nature lovers alike.
