Lengstein is a charming, rather secluded little village that sits at 970 metres asl on the eastern flank of the sunny Ritten plateau. With forests and meadows stretching out around it in every direction, time seems to move at a different pace here. The village’s notably beautiful hikes make the hearts of nature lovers and those seeking a place to relax and recharge sing, including the popular Keschtnweg (German for ‘Chestnut Trail’ and named after the myriad of chestnut trees that line it), which passes through Lengstein as it runs from Bozen to Brixen.
