Sweet little bees

The Plattner Bienenhof beekeeping museum

In the heart of the hamlet of Wolfsgruben and easily accessible by the Ritten cable car, the Plattner Bienenhof (German for ‘bee farm’) beekeeping museum is perched on a hill and can be seen from afar. With more than 600 years of history, the Plattner farm is one of the oldest farms on Ritten and is a fascinating museum about the life of farmers in the earlier days on the mountain. In the house’s stable you can also learn about bees and honey production. Next to the farm you will find the bee nature trail, where you can experience the world from a bee's point of view.
